Saline Tattoo Removal is safe and a successful method of removing conventional or PMU tattoo. Saline is injected into the treatment area using a tattoo machine. Saline Removal works by drying out the skin cells containing the pigment, removing the tattoo through healing process. Procedure is pain free as the area gets numbed. Less treatments compared to Laser Removal is required.

A combination of two methods works better in some cases.

Laser Tattoo Removal is most commonly performed using lasers that break down the ink particles in the tattoo or PMU. The broken-down ink is then absorbed by the body, mimicking the natural fading that time or sun exposure would create.

Tattoo consist of thousands of particles of tattoo pigment suspended in the skin. While normal human growth and healing processes will remove small foreign particles from the skin, tattoo pigment particles are permanent because they are too big to be removed naturally. Laser treatment causes tattoo pigment particles to heat up and fragment into smaller pieces. These smaller pieces are then removed by normal body processes.

Complete laser tattoo/PMU removal requires numerous treatment sessions, typically spaced at least 5 weeks apart. Depending on the size, colour and age of your tattoo, the number of treatments will vary. Your tattoo may be removed in two to four visits, though some may take as many as 10 more sessions. You should schedule a consultation, during which we will evaluate your personal situation and advise you on the process. Multiple factors contribute to the success of laser tattoo removal, one of them is a patient’s own immune system.
