Stemming from the success of our HIFU Face and Neck Treatment, Body HIFU is the latest technology in targeted fat removal and body sculpting. Launched in 2017, the treatment is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction and offers visible outstanding results without having to go under the knife. What is Body HIFU?

Body HIFU uses High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound energy. This energy penetrates through the skins’ layers and into the targeted fat tissue without harming the skin or surrounding tissues. Other fat reduction treatments that use low-intensity ultrasound require multiple treatments however HIFU non-invasively destroys targeted subcutaneous fat and delivers outstanding results after a single 1-hour treatment. The average waistline reduction after just one treatment is about 1 inch (2.5 cm) which typically means one dress size.

How does Body HIFU feel?

Body HIFU is a non-invasive treatment but may cause the client slight discomfort. You may feel a slight pain, warmth or heat, as the Body HIFU is applied. Any discomfort is usually very brief, the level of discomfort usually depends on the area being treated, the clients’ own sensitivity, and also the settings that are being used, (though these can be altered to suit the client’s needs).

Is HIFU safe?

Body HIFU is completely safe. The procedure is performed worldwide and Ultrasound Energy is used in a wide range of medical procedures. It is a much safer alternative to very invasive liposuction surgery and it means you have none of the risks associated with going under general anesthetic.

How long does HIFU treatment take?

The procedure as a whole lasts between 45-90 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area.

What can I expect when I have my treatment?

There will be an initial consultation with a Skin n Tonic Aesthetics Practitioner to discuss your concerns and goals. During the treatment, a handheld device is placed over the selected treatment area. This device delivers High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound to the skin. The procedure is not painful though some clients may experience slight discomfort or a prickling sensation over sensitive areas.
